Blaine County - County Manager (Mayor) Election

Election Date: May 20th, 2022
Election Type: Plurality (Candidate with the most votes wins)
Application Deadline: May 11th, 2022 at 5pm EST
Registration Fee: $20,000
How to Apply: Open a GTA ticket on the TRP discord and say it’s for the Blaine County Election – then provide which character it is for.

  • 2 months
  • Election cycle starts in 1.5 months.

  • Corruption is allowed as long as there is heavy counterplay.
  • No felonies in 4 weeks from the ELECTION DATE. (Meaning if the election is May 20th, as long as you haven’t had felonies since April 20th, you will be able to be on the ballot. Special exemptions for 3 weeks and 2 weeks can be petitioned for to the Chief Justice).
  • Misdemeanors and infractions are okay such as traffic violations.

  • Bringing citizen concerns to the public’s attention.
  • Advocate for laws and such on behalf of their constituents.
  • Host events to engage their districts.
  • Swearing in public officials in their county.
  • Managing permits where necessary
  • Business/location permits to regulation (municipality will be given a number of each that are theirs to grant)..
  • Make/set town ordinances.
  • RP Tax businesses.
  • Manage budget

  • Determining municipal lease applications and issuing lease contracts for municipal properties.
  • Determining if municipal businesses are meeting government requirements and reclaiming them if necessary.
  • Grant government businesses within their allotment.

  • Dictate municipal ordinances (add or remove)
  • Hire a certified law enforcement body (SAHP or LSSD) to provide municipal enforcement of ordinances and security of town assets.
  • Dictate business tax if necessary.
  • Manage/Grant event permits where they determine necessary to do so.
  • In the future, hold a seat on the Senate for state resolutions.

  • The Mayor and Chief Justice should work with each other when it comes to business permits/regulations.
  • The Mayor should also be working closely with the SASP, LSSD and the Medical Director of SAMS.
  • The Mayor should hire a staff as needed to handle things in their absence.
  • The Mayor should be responsive to their constituents and be forthcoming with law enforcement and the DoJ in any active investigations.
  • The Mayor must comply with SAMI and SAMI will be responsible for investigating Mayoral Corruption, which they will prosecute in a Tribunal overseen by the Chief Justice (and at his choice a jury) for their impeachment.

  • You must remain active on the server and be doing the RP justice. Failure to do so will lead to your removal.
  • You must provide heavy counterplay for any corruption, meaning there must be logs for any financial withdrawals or deposits (including taxes).
  • Don’t be a dick with the businesses with no RP reason, make sure you RP it out efficiently to make stories.
  • Try to enable RP in your municipality – there is TONS of possibility to increase RP in Blaine County.
  • Do not argue game mechanics or campaign on them. This is an IC position that has heavy IC powers that are pretty massive.
  • Municipal ordinances should be communicated to staff and PD command so they can make sure there is the ability to enforce them.
